The town of Minnedosa is located at the intersections of Highways #16 (Yellowhead) and #10, 30 minutes north of Brandon and 30 minutes south of Riding Mountain National Park. This beautiful valley town with the surrounding hills, the Little Saskatchewan River and Lake Minnedosa combine to make this area an oasis on the Canadian prairies with a proud, rich heritage.

Sports and recreation include an 18 hole golf course, curling and skating rinks, bowling lanes, baseball and soccer fields, cross country ski and walking trails, tennis courts, a fitness centre, groomed snowmobile trails and a snowmobile club. Ski Valley is just 7 kms north of town offering nine down hill ski runs.

Minnedosa Lake offers camping, fishing, swimming, water skiing, canoeing, kayaking and rowing. Adjacent to the lake are walking trails, spillway, Bison Park, historic sites and a Heritage Village. “Rockin’ the Fields” Music Festival is held next to the lake on the August long weekend. The area around Minnedosa offers some of the best waterfowl resources on the prairies. Ducks Unlimited have established a major presence here and their ongoing waterfowl management programs have benefited this region.
