Port Edward’s motto “ Clean, Net, and Green” is suiting for the beautiful green parks and open spaces, as well as the quiet atmosphere, ocean views and friendly community, making Port Edward a desirable place to live.  Port Edward is located 15 kilometers south of Prince Rupert via Highway 16 on British Columbia’s North coast.

The Picnic Area in Port Edward features picnic tables and viewpoint overlooking Porpoise Harbour, which houses the Porpoise Harbour Boat Launch — a saltwater launch close to Chatham Sound and fishing grounds. It features temporary moorage, a washroom facility, fish cleaning table and no fees. Port Edward is also home to Dianna Lake Provincial Park, which features day-use activities, picnic and swimming, change rooms, covered picnic areas and a beach. More information on Dianna Lake can be found at BC Parks.

North Pacific Cannery is a National Historical site located in Port Edward. This is the oldest remaining intact fish cannery on the West coast of North America.  Guests can visit the site May through September.  Visit their website for more information and hours of operation.
