Port Edward is located 15 kilometers south of Prince Rupert via Highway 16 on British Columbia’s North coast. The Picnic Area in Port Edward features picnic tables and viewpoint overlooking Porpoise Harbour, which houses the Porpoise Harbour Boat Launch — a saltwater launch close to Chatham Sound and fishing grounds. It features temporary moorage, a washroom facility, fish cleaning table and no fees. Port Edward is also home to Dianna Lake Provincial Park, which features day-use North Pacific Cannery is a National Historical site located in Port Edward.
